Dexter, Season 7 premieres September 30 this fall on Showtime:
Sons of Anarchy premieres Season 5 in September this fall on FX:

“Two dummies waiting to shoot…”:
Dexter returns for Season 7 on September 30, 2012 with Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, Desmond Harrington, James Remar, David Zayas, C.S. Lee, Ray Stevenson, Katia Winter, Matt Gerald, Lauren Velez and Yvonne Strahovski.
[UPDATE #2] Here’s another amazing get for Showtime’s Californication. As a big fan myself, Marilyn Manson will be joining the series for one episode in what seems to be a perfect fit in the way of “Amazing! Why didn’t I think of that?” casting.
[UPDATE] In one swift and bold move, Showtime has secured Chuck diehards by casting Yvonne Strahovski in the Dexter‘s (wanning) seventh season. Strahovski will be playing Hannah McKay, “a strong, independent woman with a past that she’s struggled to put behind her. As a turn of events leads Miami Metro Homicide to ask for her help in solving some old cases, Dexter (Michael C. Hall) works with her and begins to wonder if there’s more to this woman than she’s professed.”
Maybe I’ll tune, but the leash is extremely short after last season “faith/religion” hammered themes felt like an utter dud.
[Original] Showtime and FX are getting really busy casting on their series before production begins for the Fall season premieres. Dexter wants Matt Gerald for a multi-episode arc. Homeland has cast Valerie Cruz in a multi-episode arc which can become recurring. Jorge Garcia, Tim Minchin and Meghan Falcone have been cast on the comedy-series Californication. Sons of Anarchy has landed Billy Brown in a major recurring role.
Gerald (Avatar and The Shield) is joining Dexter‘s seventh season as “a blue-collar violent criminal” who’ll likely be siding with the recent casting of Ray Stevenson (Rome) as a “Russian mob bad guy”. Gerard will soon be seen on the upcoming ABC drama Last Resort, which was a valiant contender for our “Best Of Pilots” list.
Cruz (True Blood, Dexter) has been cast as Major Joy Mendez for Homeland‘s second season. She’s described as “a military intelligence officer who goes with Carrie (Claire Danes) on a sensitive mission in Beirut.” The role is currently a guest star stint that may become recurring.
Californication has cast Falcone as “a hot groupie roommate named Shari” across Maggie Grace’s Faith, who’s “been on the road with various bands for years and is considered a muse to elite artists. Though she has a fondness for sex, drugs and rock and roll, she remains quite religious. She meets and becomes friends with Hank Moody [David Duchovny] and eventually, that friendship blossoms into more.” The character of Faith is “being contemplated for a potential Californication spinoff, though any firm decisions won’t likely be made until the sixth season debuts, at the earliest.”
Also, Garcia is reuniting with his LOST co-star Grace in an eight-episode arc “as an old contact from Faith’s past.” Minchin will also recur on the series for eight-episode as Atticus Fetch, “described as a David Bowie-style notorious rocker.”
Sons of Anarchyhas cast Brown as August Marks, the “right-hand man to the character Harold Perrineau plays, Damon Pope.”
