Although Gillian Anderson has some serious skills and has locked it down in The House of Mirth, The Last King of Scotland and the like, it’s nice to see her coming back to the small screen and less eggheaded material. Those of us with a long time Scully crush, have been in need of seeing her without the British accent and standing in the kiddie pool (American TV plots) for a minute.

Bryan Fuller’s Hannibal has a laundry list of actors I’m just dying to see on my TV screen once again. The series, which premieres at midseason on NBC, has been rounding out its cast for quite some time. As the success for Hannibal seems to keep on growing, that meant his other NBC project, Mockingbird Lane looks like it won’t go to series, but it’s costly pilot will air as a Halloween special.

NBC Turmoil: Entire Cast of ‘Community’ Returns, Heads to Comic-Con

Posted at June 29, 2012 by

It’s been a rough few weeks for the ratings-challenged broadcast network, first having fired series creator Dan Harmon over his ability to properly run the show without going over budget, as well as appealing to a wide audience. Never the strong suits of Community, but it more than made up for it with experimenting in network narratives. Luckily for them the entire cast, including Chevy Chase, is returning to the series this fall and most will make an appearance at Comic-Con.
