You may need to sit down for this one but there will be no growly voiced-Batman in the Justice League movie. Yep, Christian Bale is hanging up his scene chewing act and is ready to let someone else don the cape, the mask, the tool belt, the…

It has been rumored that Bale would appear as Batman in the DC heroes-laden Justice League film featuring favorites such as Wonder Woman, Superman and hopefully Batman.

Louis C.K. Joins David O. Russell’s Untitled Abscam Drama Starring Christian Bale & Amy Adams

Posted at January 14, 2013 by

I was pretty late in joining the Louie laugh-riot, but I’ve come around even though those stand-up bits don’t always work for me. I prefer Louis C.K. playing up his fictional version self as Louie C.K., but the actor is joining a different kind of project. A period drama to be precise in David O. Russell’s Untitled Abscam Drama (formerly known as American Bullshit) that’s starring Christian Bale and Amy Adams.

Somehow amazingly, Terrence Malick has added two more intriguing actors to the growing list for his as yet Untitled Rock film. “Bond Girl” Berenice Marlohe and a ponytail-less Val Kilmer are joining the production starring alongside Ryan Gosling, Michael Fassbender and Natalie Portman, among others. Johnny Depp and Christian Bale To Possibly Star In Cinematographer Wally Pfister’s Directorial Debut, ‘Transcendence’

Wally Who? Though you may not know his name (yet!), Wally Pfister is the cinematographer behind The Italian Job, Moneyball, oh, and every Christopher Nolan film, from Insomnia to the Dark Knight trilogy. With Transcendence, Pfister is set to make his debut as a director and already has box-office dynamite Johnny Depp locked up for one of the three male leads. Christian Bale is rumoured for the second, though we still have to wait and see if the studios spit anybody else out in the meantime. Depp and Bale together is a tantalizing thought, so fingers crossed.

Michael Fassbender Joins Terrence Malick’s ‘Knight of Cups’

Posted at October 9, 2012 by

It seems almost rather pointless and simultaneously exciting to see who Terrence Malick is working with next. Anybody can (and some probably will) be cut from the final edit of the film, as some were from his recent film, To The Wonder. It looks like Michael Fassbender may have a part in Knight of Cups, alongside Christian Bale, Cate Blanchette and Natalie Portman.

Bradley Cooper and David O. Russell Might Reunite For ‘American Sniper’

Posted at September 15, 2012 by

After replacing Mark Wahlberg in David O. Russell’s The Silver Lining Playbook, Bradley Cooper seems to be stealing Russell even further away from Wahlberg, in one of Hollywood’s weirdest love triangles yet. Russell previously directed Wahlberg in The Fighter, where the two had great chemistry. But now Cooper has stepped up as Russell’s new man, starring in his future untitled Abscam-sting project, and the two might get involved even further in American Sniper, based on military sniper Chris Kyle’s autobiography.

A ‘Dark Knight Rises’ Post Mortem

Posted at September 7, 2012 by

Did The Dark Knight Rises truly rise or did someone open the oven door while it was baking causing it to go flat? Did I seriously just correlate the dark and final installment of Chris Nolan’s Batman franchise to baking? Yes, yes I did. Given that the film has been out for a while now and my thoughts have had time to fester and boil inside my stinky brains, I’ve decided to write a post-mortem on The Dark Knight Rises and how it fits in the Batman universe that Nolan has created.
