What happens to a film when it goes over-budget, needing massive reshoots and some rewrites from outside individuals? Most of the time, Hollywood is intent on having a return on their investment, however possible. The Marc Foster directed World War Z, based on the novel by Max Brooks, has gotten its first look trailer and a teaser poster for the Brad Pitt starrer. See them after the jump.

A UN employee racing against time and fate travels the world trying to stop a growing zombie pandemic.

It looks great, grim and very “post-apocalyptic-y”, but the speedy CGI zombies look pretty bad. Let’s see how it plays out in theaters.

World War Z stars Brad Pitt, Matthew Fox, David Morse, Eric West, Mireille Enos, and James Badge Dale. the original screenplay was written by Matthew Michael Carnahan and then revised by Drew Goddard (Cabin In The Woods) and heads to theaters June 21, 2013.

….zombies don’t run. and where does this have anything to do with the book??

    • OP

Really? “Zombies don’t run”. They can do whatever the author or movie director, screen writer wants them to do. I think it makes it even more exciting that they can run. There are many different books on the subject like anything else and they sometimes differ from one another. Also please write better as your last sentence did not make any sense what so ever.
