P.T. Anderson’s ‘The Master’ Unofficial Teaser Poster (UPDATE: Celluloid First Look)
[UPDATE] Ever since we posted the unofficial teaser poster, it became a waiting game until we could catch a glimpse of P.T. Anderson’s The Master. Its probably one of the most anticipated films for DMC and we finally get a first look on traditional style 65mm celluloid. It’s very pretty, see it after the jump.
Thanks to Cigarette and Red Vines, we have a computer generated positive print of the posted negative film, which is accompanied by this note. Photos to follow:

good evening. it’s been so long
and you’ve been so patient, thought
i’d fill you in on where we’re
at with it now:
These shots include our lovely
Negative Cutter, Simone, imported
all the way from France to cut 65mm
negative. She does it all with a pair
of scissors from Staples.
I’ll have more to share in the
coming days/weeks/months. Hope
you’re well. Thank you for all the support.
See you soon.
paul.

[Original] Anybody up for some Paul Thomas Anderson updates on his long-awaited follow up The Master? We all loved There Will Be Blood, I’m sure of it. All I have to say is that the cast lined up for the quasi-biographical film of Scientology leader L. Ron Hubbard, is something we’re excited about. Check out the unofficial teaser poster by artist Alex Fellows.
A cartoonist-illustrator-animator (living in my hometown of Montreal) Alex Fellows, has quite a fantastic body of work, and you should definitely check out his ongoing online comic strip Spain & Morocco.
Here’s brief synopsis of The Master:
A 1950s-set drama centered on the relationship between a charismatic intellectual known as “the Master” whose faith-based organization begins to catch on in America, and a young drifter who becomes his right-hand man.
