One of the signs of a troubled production is marred by recasting a role in a film, but most of the time it’s due to scheduling conflicts or an actor doesn’t get with everyone else. This time, Jane Got A Gun has gone under some major retooling recently adding Ewan McGregor as the villain and Keira Knightley taking on the role previously played by Anne Hathaway in Laggies.

Stephen King’s deep roster of creative material is reaching fever pitch. CBS’s has Under The Dome this summer, J.J. Abrams has acquired the rights to 11/22/63 for TV and a remake of Carrie is coming to theaters for Halloween. And yet, A Good Marriage is also making its way to theaters, having already cast Joan Allen. Kristen Connolly and Anthony LaPaglia have just been cast in the project based on King’s 2010 novella by the same name.

Jason Bateman is in talks to star in a new film for Walt Disney Animation and Tangled director Byron Howard.
Neither Walt Disney Animation or Pixar have yet to comment on project, however a source of The Hollywood Report says the new project is an as-yet untitled animal comedy that does not yet have a release date.

It is only fitting that music superstar Justin Timberlake will star in a new rags to riches biopic as 1970s record icon and disco pioneer Neil Bogart. The film, Spinning Gold, was halted for two years but is now all ready to be financed and sold at Cannes Film Festival by Foresight Unlimited.

Raising Hope star Shannon Woodward is joining TJ Miller, Adam Pally and Thomas Middleditch in the Universal comedy Search Party.
The film tells the story of two roommates who go to great lengths to save their friend Nardo, who is naked and stranded in Mexico. Woodward will play the sometimes-girlfriend of the Nardo character, who also ends up in Mexico.

Well this is an almost scary production schedule: Matthew Vaughn is set to direct an adaptation of Mark Miller’s The Secret Service set to begin shooting in August and released in November 2014. Casting is currently underway as the project has officially announced Colin Firth involvement in a pivotal role.

Scarlett Johansson will be playing against type in French director Luc Besson’s sci-fi action film Lucy. Johansson will star as Lucy, a young woman who gains herself some super powers after she is forced to work as a drug mule. The drug takes hold of her system, making her a kick-ass machine. She is also lucky enough to instantly absorb knowledge, can move objects with her mind and has no ability to feel pain.

It looks like it’s time for another movie musical, and 20th Century Fox has obtained the rights to a big one. The studio is remaking movie musical Guys & Dolls and is looking at Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt to play the lead roles. The original, made in 1955, centered around gambling and other sins and starred Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando.
