West Bentley has been cast in the new HBO pilot Open, from Glee producer Ryan Murphy. Open is said to be a multi-character exploration of the complex, ever-evolving landscape of sexuality, monogamy and intimacy in relationships. Bentley’s role is that of the handsome but arrogant Evan Foster, who loves espousing his theories on human sexuality.

Tarantino favorite Christoph Waltz has signed to star in the fact-based thriller True Crimes.
Adapted from David Grann’s 2008 New Yorker feature, the story involves the case of Krystian Bala, a Polish writer who was convicted of murder in 2007. The murder for which he was convicted had been a cold case which, for years, went unsolved by the Polish police force.

After a later career resurgence with a small but memorable turn in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained, Don Johnson is now in final negotiations to play Cameron Diaz’s father in 20th Century Fox’s The Other Woman.

In the film, Diaz’s character discovers that she is “the other woman” in an affair. She teams up with her lover’s wife to get revenge on the cheating husband. Leslie Mann will play the wife, while Nikolaj Coster-Waldau will play as the husband. The cast also includes Kate Upton and Nick Minaj.

Close is in final negotiations for a starring role in Marvel’s outer space film Guardians of the Galaxy. Close would take on a leadership role in Nova Corp., which is the “fictional intergalactic space patrol” that will be the focus of the movie.
